Olya’s eyes pierced right through the deep brown iris’ of the well built moustachioed man who leaned against the door frame. She studied him with intensity, trying to read right through the faint lines etched across his face. She slumped back against the plush cushion in defeat when the man remained unmoved by her penetrating glares, only to be received with Avi shifting his position below her feet. Her cherished dog nestled himself protectively right next to her legs, and although he appeared calm, Olya could sense his apprehension from the way he continuously wagged his short tail.
Thanks to her captors blindfolding her, Olya actually had no clue as to where she was. From the concrete walls and the long walk getting into this room she deduced that she was in some form of building complex. A place which had remnants of an old world that she had long forgotten.
A flash of memories passed through her mind of tall, grey block structures that engulfed the small part of the city where she grew up. The faint sounds and smells of her native land ghosted through her, reminding her of a place that she never looked back to.
