Wasn’t this already proven to be the work of a racist Star Wars fan and the media just reported it as DC fans because it perpetuates their narrative of DCEU fans all being alt-right better than a story about the fundraiser DC fans organized on Twitter to pay for tickets so disadvantaged kids could see the movie.
at the time I wrote it it wasn’t proven but now it was, it was just like how there was a fan edit of TLJ to remove the women to paint the narrative that everyone who disliked TLJ was just an alt-right person rather than address the very real criticism.
It was ridiculous to act as if DC fans were behind that nonsense anyway even if the people behind it were DC fans do they suddenly get to have the biggest voice over the other DC fans? strange how MCU fans have never got painted that way you know despite like the 500 racist things the MCU did that its fans stoody by.
There was a Marvel fan account with like 20,000 followers in Twitter that tweeted the most homophobic content and everybody just ignored it. Even if it was a troll the fact that the Marvel fandom got the benefit of the doubt like that when the DC fandom didn’t is just so typical but still infuriating. Like it’s not enough for bloggers to say Marvel makes better movies, now they have to make it that liking Marvel makes you woke, or something?
