This scene still sparks a rage in me. Behind the bar is a man who, presumably, has worked there longer than Clark; he does nothing. At the bar are two men in uniform; they do nothing. The men at the table with the harasser, of course, do nothing but laugh. No one tries to help her but Clark. Not one of these men, who IRL would be offended by women saying men are trash. That Clark is the exception in this scene still makes me angry and sad, because how many of these #notallmen would claim to be The Nice Guy to get into a woman’s pants? The actual nice guy is supported by no one, is left to leave the bar in shame, for making the mistake of helping a woman. But that is what makes Clark Superman, not his incredible abilities: his drive to do right, despite the personal cost. He can do right, he should do right, so he does.

Props to the screnwriters for getting real in a CBM.
