Weekend box office estimates are in: Patty Jenkins officially has highest opening weekend box office for a film directed by a woman. 

Even if initial estimates are slightly off Jenkins will still hold that record since the previous director to hold that title was Sam Taylor-Johnson when her film Fifty Shades of Grey, debuted with $85.1 million in 2015.
