People on here always whine about artists not getting paid, and boast about the importance of ethics, and cry about the mistreatment of workers and all this shit. But the second an artist wants to be paid for their work and not just have it shared on Tumblr, the second an independent designer starts selling the designs they showed you, the second a company uses natural products and has good ethics starts actually selling etc. and it’s not all $1 you’re like
why do people keep saying “but we’re broke” in response to this? if you’re broke you would side with broke artists about the value of their work… not side against them and be mean to them for pricing their art based on survival? what point do you think you’re making? i’m not saying you have to buy artists work i’m saying you have to understand why artists don’t sell their art for nothing because their work is valuable. and it is! even if it’s inaccessible to you and i!
