It’s honestly so funny when people use the same exact fancasts for POC characters bc they’re too lazy to do research. Black man? Idris Elba. Chinese woman? Arden Cho. Etc. like no one else exists I guess.

The reason I take offense to John Boyega playing Idris’ son (that was somehow never mentioned in the first movie…) in Pac Rim 2 is for this very reason.
Arden’s not even Chinese; she’s Korean. So that’s them hitting ignorance on multiple levels.
