Dear literally everyone, if you dress as Harley Quinn this year, or dress your child as that manipulative, cheating, medical oath-breaking, Daisy Mae repeat-offender abuse-tolerator (and then abuser right back: see the Harley Quinn comics where she bludgeons Joker in his cell), worthless comic relief, and “sex sells” marketing tool from DC, you’re showing as much respect for yourself and for other women as Trump has every time he’s been in trouble for running his mouth this election. (And if you’re dressing your child as her, apart from showing extremely low aspirations on their behalf, you are being a bad parent).

Same goes for that abusive murderer, Joker, who I quit dressing as the moment I realized:

1. He’s faking being crazy to justify his sociopathic behaviors (view Death of the Family Arc from any New 52 Batfam comic).

And

2. His treatment of Harley was stated outright as abuse (and not some weird kinky thing) by DC (View interactions between Lobo and Harley in the Injustice run of the comics when Green Arrow and Black Canary are about to show up).

Have some dignity, go as Wonder Woman, go as Black Canary, dress as Batgirl, do Aquawoman because Queen Mera is Queen of 70% of the Earth’s surface. As for my dudes, just go back to being Batman. He’s freaking Batman.
