Keep your distance from the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. She is played by Gal Gadot, an Israeli who served in the military and supports the genocide of Palestinians.

During Israel’s last major attack on Gaza in 2014, she said: “I am sending my love and prayers to my fellow Israeli citizens, especially to all the boys and girls who are risking their lives protecting my country…”

Her words rubbed salt into the wounds when you remember that Israeli citizens were relaxing on hilltops overlooking Gaza as they watched Israeli jets focus on killing large Palestinian families

More than 2,100 Palestinians were killed, and six Israelis.

It’s impossible to hear of that movie and not immediately think ‘genocide’.

She can’t help that she was in the military, they have mandatory service in Israel after you turn 18. She cannot control the actions of her own military just because she lives there, you know. And also… So what if she prays for her own military? Who recently decided that patriotism is something wrong to be ashamed of? See the damn movie if you want to, people, don’t let some Debbie Downer try and ruin your activity because she decides to pull out some questionable receipts to get attention. 💕🇺🇸🇮🇱💕

“She can’t help that she was in the military”

Yes, she could have. The decent thing to do would have been to become a conscientious objector

“She cannot control the actions of her own military just because she lives there, you know”

She sent her love and prayers to the military while they were committing massacres. Since you didn’t get it from the original post, that translates to: I love what you’re doing, please continue

There are actually lots of ways out of that military service (especially for women), and only about 50% of those potential conscripts serve; she absolutely could help serving in that military.

The idea that Gal Gadot was chosen without awareness of this public bias is willful ignorance.

The film industry has always intentionally been the public opinion/moral compass machine of the United States (i.e. Motion Picture Production Code) and actors have ALWAYS been chosen based on the images cultivated of their personal lives to endorse certain ideas.

“Patriotism” is not how you spell “genocide”.

It’s funny that you bring up the film industry because Hollywood is grossly antisemitic as well and shares the same views as you. Just because there are ways doesn’t mean they’re easy. Also! She worked as a combat instructor. She never was actually on the field. But y'all ignore that because it doesn’t fit the narrative.
