one of the fundamental things Affleck and the movie understood: 110% of Bruce’s motivation at any time is FEROCIOUSLY MOTHERHENNING PEOPLE. His town, his kids, his company, some random people he met on the streets, people he doesn’t even know. He will mother all of them goddamit.
