Okay but can we talk about the fact that MARGOT FREAKIN’ ROBBIE herself pushed for this spin-off? Not just to get her own movie either; it was her idea to use Harley’s popularity as a lead-in for an entirely female-centric superhero film including (probably) Batgirl and the Birds of Prey. She pitched this to Warner Bros. and they quote unquote “flipped over her take on it”. She’ll also incidentally be personally co-producing through her own company, LuckyChap Entertainment [x].
Basically Margot Robbie is the champion female DC fans deserve, and the one we need right now.
