I don’t feel like that’s a fair assessment at all, no offense. These things can be very subjective. Because I only run a comic blog and don’t actually follow any Marvel or DC content blogs myself, you’re my only source for this kind of stuff. And through this outlet, I see almost nothing but DC fans getting super critical of Marvel films for being successful and praising DC films as paragons of writing which, considering the mainstream response, isn’t an objective assessment.
I’m just saying. Depending on who you follow and what you expose yourself to, you’re bound to see a lot of different opinions.
Tbh in my years if being a comic fan here on tumblr I feel confident in saying there is a huge Marvel bias, not only here but in general on many sites. And yeah who you follow can have a lot to do with what kind of hate you see.. but 9 out of 10 times DC fans are just fed up with Marvel fans obnoxiously insulting their favorite movies and characters etc in the tags over and over and over again and may lash out or be overprotective of it. It is a chore going through the DC tags because so many Marvel fans leave petty comments. Before I got into DC I was a hardcore Marvel fan and saw DC hate left and right , I even (stupidly) agreed with it way back when first joined this site. It wasn’t until I started getting older and more exposed to DC movies and comics that I was like wtf why is there even this huge portion of fandom just shitting on DC all the time, it doesn’t deserve that at all! I mean yeah there are shitty DC fans *cough* soldierofkrypton*cough* but the DC fandom calls out shitty DC fans too, at least the DC Squad I roll with here. I of course am going to be reblogging all the DC praise I see because I LOVE the DCEU, so if you are basing DC fandom off me alone, it’s gonna be biased for sure, because yes I’m a DC and Marvel fan, but I am really sick of most other Marvel fans at this point too so you may see that bias with me and I admit to that but god knows I defend marvel to the death from unfair hate too…depends on what mood I’m in
