This rant brought to you by Star Wars: The Force Awakens (featuring Rey, the lady scavenger-pilot-mechanic-Jedi of my heart) and also years of simmering resentment.
This is exactly why I’ve always hated that phrase, just put into actual words. Out of the billions of people in the world (and the infinite number more in the creative world) you think people aren’t going to have similar qualities? You have to try and discourage others from writing/drawing/etc. about it?
It’s petty.
I think we need a better term
This term needs to die, no one uses it as it was originally used and now it’s just terrible.
