some things i think some people on tumblr need to understand:
- most of the people who ship jokerxharley are aware that it is an abusive relationship but can also appreciate them in fiction and wouldn’t condone that shit in real life
- the majority of jxh shippers who try to rationalize jxh aren’t abusive or don’t care about the abuse are people who are not in the fandom and haven’t read the comics/who aren’t educated on these things
- ivy has been abusive to harley in the past and although she is getting better now and their relationship is more ideal than joker and harley’s relationship it’s still not entirely stable/healthy
- people who ship joker x harley are not scum of the earth glorifying abuse but people who can enjoy things in a fictional, safe and controlled environment that they wouldn’t condone or like in real life (kind of like people who read books like “lolita” and appreciate literature that portrays negative things)
