I’m kinda conflicted on whether or not it was misogyny, tbh. I mean, is it really so hard to imagine that someone as terrible as the Joker would have done this regardless of Barbara being female? Just saying, as he doesn’t seem to care who he hurts.

I think you’re misunderstanding what OP is saying. Joker isn’t the one being misogynistic here. Joker isn’t a real person. The misogyny lies in the writers who make Joker do the things he does. (Aka Alan Moore).
