Harley is not a sweet cinnamon roll.
Harley is not the treasured little doll of the Justice League.
She’s not Black Canary’s BFF.
Harley is not an antihero.
She is, at her core, a villain.
She’s not nice, she’s not a quirky heroic person, every superhero with a brain knows that she’s not a helpless victim.
She’s not a dog rescuer, a Deadpool knock off or some cliche quirky gal DC’s so desperately trying to make her into.
She. Is. A. Villain.
She’s a horrible person, a mass murderer and someone who will do nearly anything for an even more horrible boyfriend (Joker) or girlfriend (Ivy).
If Harley were truly done with Joker, she’d be done with the persona of Harley Quinn. She’s such a tragic character because she’s obsessed with Joker and so devoted to him despite everything, but that’s who she became after she spent that time with him in Arkham.
If Harley were to really end things, she wouldn’t become an anti-hero. She was never interested in saving the world. From the get-go she was interested in advancing her career (and finding our for herself why her dad did the things he did). She’d leave it all behind.
But that would mean becoming “cured” of her insanity and issues, her demented love for Joker, which will never happen.
