first I was really happy to see Connie’s relationship with her mom improve so much and the promise of more openness and communication was really great
and then Steven watching and sadly looking at the Rose Quartz symbol on the scabbard when Connie said “I love you too mom” was like the episode was going “oh, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of heartbreaking tragedy here”
