Central and Eastern European people problems
- nobody knows where the fuck your country is
- some people don’t even know your country exists
- presumption that Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia still exist
- people automatically assuming you are Russian
- questions about politics
- old maps with wrong/no longer relevant information
- people cursing you kurwa because they somehow know that word
- (even if you’re not polish)
- attempts to explain what Slavic countries are & why can we partly understand each other’s languages
- no concerts of international singers/bands
- people mispronouncing your name
- Always get portrayed as bad people in films.
- Gets overly stereotyped as being “backwards”. Example: People have internet in Romania?
- Gets stereotyped as “commies” even though most east Europeans actually hate communism.
