People coming at me like my most recent text post excuses the abuse, please.
Don’t put words in my mouth. That post was addressing character development, not the abuse or the relationship as a whole. If you wanna get on my case for the abuse in JxHQ, please read this first:

OR, even better, make a snack, get comfy and read THIS. A much more in depth, comprehensive and less angry break down of the relationship and its ins and outs. She covered way more in more time than I did, I was brief and angry about the whole thing. :P Its a spectacular read (as is anything written about JxHQ by her) and I very much so recommend it.
No one is excusing or apologizing the abuse, thats absurd. All we are saying is in the context of the world of comics, the relationship is more functional than you think, and the abuse does stop.
New 52 is a completely different beast, and I won’t be discussing it until I care enough to get a larger grasp on it and read everything. Which could be never. Because I can’t stomach that mess.
