H!E episode 12 was intense…
I was watching this whole episode with my heart clenched… I know how this feels since I play the piano and played on a pretty high level, but I wasn’t good enough. Even after all the practice not being able to be good enough hurts so much. I could relate more than I liked. Though it makes me happy to see that liking to play and liking your instrument is enough of reason to continue working your ass of to become better even though there is a chance you will never be as good as you’d like to. I am glad that KyoAni made this episode, I am even more in love with H!E than I already was. I think there are so many people on this earth who knows how this feels and need to be reminded that liking music is enough of reason to play.

-MORE KUMIKO X REINA SCENES-

Yes I know, seeing more Shuichi in scenes with Kumiko and seeing Reina react like that about hearing Taki-sensei being mentioned. It crushes your hope. BUT! Have you seen the kumirei moments? Like this whole episode it was:
*Reina supporting Kumiko, by checking on her how it goes and giving her a bottle of water since she knows how hard Kumiko is practicing and probably not drinking enough.
*Kumiko and Reina practicing together (Reina wants to help!).
*Reina being worried about Kumiko and calling her a thousand times.
*Kumiko saying the exact same words as Reina did in ep 1 (in such an emotional moment!) and Kumiko remembering Reina again. and that with shuichi in the background Kumiko thinks about Reina
*Kumiko wanting Reina to be the first person to hear the good news that she might still play that part in the competition.
*Kumiko wanting to share her joy with Reina.
*Reina encouraging Kumiko by saying “It isn’t over yet, right?”
JUST LOOK HOW THEY INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER ISN’T IT BEAUTIFUL!
Yes, it may seem like they are “just friends” for now (not for me lol). But a good relationship starts with the same basics of a friendship.
In any case, for the people who think this ship is sinking: this ships isn’t dead. It will sail forever regardless of how KyoAni will let the anime end.
It’s canon, maybe not endgame. Who knows? But we shouldn’t put our focus on that.
Let’s just see how it goes and enjoy the anime ok? :)
