had been thinking a bit more about ‘god mode’ la muerte and xibalba and doodled these up at work. maybe call them more something like “battle mode”, where la muerte’s hat turns into a big flame and skull mandala and marigold petals swirl around her to be fired at ememies. and xibalba, the ever subtle, just becomes a honking big feathered serpent made from tar and bones. tried to make his head look like the quetzalcoatl statues you see at aztec ruins. also his black candles now run down is spine, although they got cut off here.
