Made more fan art of these characters… and I have no regrets!! Spent a good two and a half weeks working on this, while having a lot of fun playing with colors. Lewis, Darling, you and your meddling friends killed me.
Other than the animation style being fun and the music catchy, these characters really hit home with their expressive personalities, using no dialogue to do it. I was inspired to carry that into this short comic, because they are quite interesting that way. Lewis’ ghost provided a fun challenge since all he has really got are eyes and hair, but Arthur’s exaggerated expressions were also a nice change from what I’m used to.
This story takes place sometime after the animated story ended, (which has been done before), so I chose to make them aware of who their antagonist was and sent Arthur, Vivi and Ben to pay their respects to their old friend. I was considering to let Lewis pass on, but after viewing many fan art pictures, it didn’t look like anyone would want him to go anyway. Heck, it’s more fun if he joins back in the gang!
Changed up the logo a little to suit a comic and I promise the original logo and background of the van are hand painted.
It’s really hard to head-bob to Ghost and draw at the same time, thank goodness the song has breaks.
