I mean we are all joking about the smut but this is actually canon? It’s not really a secret at all that he canonically gets aroused when she exerts power over him. That he can’t even say “God she’s so bossy” without it ::clearly:: being a turn on. (My God, Kent, get it together. ) At this point, decades of media has pretty much established that Clark finds Lois intimidating in a way that is really attractive. Smallville went so far as to have him actually smiling with love on the other end of the phone as she (justifably) yelled at him in “Idol” and leaning against the wall in an aroused stupor after she hit him across the face in “Hydro.” (Also justified.). He gets off on her exerting power over him and enjoys the fact that she can and will dominate him powers be damned. She pushes back and he may as well have hearts over his eyes. She doesn’t give a fuck. She isn’t scared. She isn’t intimidated. He submits to her willingly both sexually and emotionally as she’s also a lot more sexually experienced. And it’s healthy. It’s loving. He’s submitting to her because he genuinely loves her and thinks she’s smart and great. He’s happy to submit to this “fragile” human who makes him feel like he’s not actually the most powerful man in the world for once.
It’s why a lot of misogynists have always called him a “pussy” and “whipped” and attacked his manhood around Lois. Bc he’s on his knees. Call it a kink, sure. It’s a kink. People want who and what they want. It’s chemical. He’s Superman but she’s the Dom. In every facet of their relationship. Work. Marriage. Bed. He pulls her out of burning buildings (that she ran into on her own) but she has him by the balls. Literally.
