Sadly Aurélien won’t be featured in this movie!
I went to Zombillenium’s work-in-progress session last year at Annecy Festival and Arthur de Pins explained they felt that while Aurélien fitted comics’ storytelling, he wasn’t the best choice for a movie. So they came up with a new protagonist who fits movies’ storytelling better. (which is pretty understandable imo, each medium has it own advantages and disavantages and you can’t tell a story the same way if you use a comic or a movie so instead of totally changing Aurélien’s life/character, they prefered to get a new character to stay true to the comic and its universe)
So this protagonist is called Hector and he just wanna chill and get his daughter back

I’m gonna miss Aurélien a fucking lot but I’m sure the team did a marvelous job with this movie anyway!
