Do you think that BDSM is being misinterpreted with all these books coming out ( like fifty shades of grey) or do you find that some of these books actually explain BDSM well ?

hold-on-to-the-neck answered:

I’m glad you asked. Recently I had the feeling I must share my opinion on this, since the film is coming to theatres, because if the book was Hiroshima, the film would be Chernobyl.

Let me put it this way. I fucking hate that books and what they did to the community. BDSM isn’t cool and not about kinky sex, but the book did worse than that.

50 Shades of Grey portrays the relationships which mustn’t be copied, pursued, followed by anybody. This is what happens when some dumb person writes something that she has no idea about at all.

We see a powerful person with his clinic desires that he channels into an abusive relationship with inexperienced woman. He uses her, tortures her, and she lets him because she loves him. It’s self-sacrifice, but BDSM isn’t about sacrifice, it’s about trust, only then comes power exchange.

Girls, nobody can perform anything on you, because you love, he’s a Dom, he’s something else. Submission doesn’t mean you loose your dignity, self-esteem, yourself in relationships.

What’s happening now? We have unaware girls who are looking for Doms. And we have plenty of these abusive wannabe bastards who are happy to take them with open arms.

Today we should create a sign and use it on every page: BDSM is dangerous to your health, don’t try it without learning what it really is.

I’ll get to that later more than once, because this flow won’t end in the near future.
