HERE’S WHY THIS MOMENT IS SO GREAT AND IS IMPORTANT:
Usagi has been feeling jealous of Chibi-Usa and it doesn’t matter that it’s unfounded or that she knows she’s being ridiculous, she was still upset and feeling unimportant to Mamoru. They talked about it and comforted each other and that was great, they reaffirmed that they want to be together, they have the same goals, and they feel the same way about each other.
There was special emphasis on Chibi-Usa wearing one of Mamoru’s shirts as being comforting and as talked about here, she’s been jealous of all the attention and little things that Chibi-Usa gets from him.
So what does Mamoru do the next morning, when they get up to go check on Chibi-Usa? He takes special care to put one of his shirts over Usagi’s shoulders, showing her that he’s thinking of her, too. That he understands she craves those little gestures and he’s happy to give them to her. ♥
It’s not just about whether she’s cold or whether her dress came off last night or whatever. It’s about how she wants gestures of affection and he enjoys giving them to her. ♥
