because it broke a little of my heart seeing him far from them and feeling idk like he is not human not Gem …
he has no clue about what to feel, he is in both worlds and in no world at all
Greg and Rose are exactly like two awkward teenagers, and I can’t begin to explain how amazing that is.
I like that we saw one of Rose’s flaws. She fell in love with the human species, but she has more trouble understanding how to fall in love with one human.
We see that she finds humans as “funny” and “entertaining,” and Greg starts to question whether Rose respects him as an equal. There were already hits of this in “Story for Steven,” when Rose told Greg that he’s really cute and that she really wants to play with him, similar as to how we humans would say something like that to a puppy or kitten that we see. It’s like Garnet said:
Some people were skeptical because they thought that the show was countering itself with Greg and Rose’s love being “at first sight,” but now we know that’s not true. They had their fair amount of things to work out between themselves, and their love prevailed because they never gave up.
fusion is not, in the world of steven universe, Gem Sex. fusion is used by the writers of the show as a metaphor to explore messages about intimacy, consent, trust, friendship, respect, etc. but fusion is not just the gem equivalent to human sex
