Batman headcanon that Bruce secretly loves having the other Leaguers fawn over his children, commenting how talented (and cute) they are. It gives him this strange sense of warmness to hear their praise and boosts his already incredible dad powers. Thus he finds himself a bit put out when Green Arrow brings in his own young sidekick diverting attention away from his precious child. Thus he invariably finds himself in competition with any other hero who has a young partner.
He’ll stalk up to the other heroes, quietly listing all the ways that his child (later children) are better, cuter and more lovable than the others. He never, obviously, does this in front of the other sidekicks. In fact, he’s usually very open and caring to the sidekicks because, yes, they are very talented and cute as well… just, you know, not as much as his children. The rest of the League know better than to argue with him- except Oliver who always argues in Roy’s defense- and just goes along with it even while the mentors secretly believe their child is the cutest. But one does not win fights with Batman regarding his babies.
“And if we’re talking from a pure aesthetic standpoint, when you consider the optimal placement of his dimples, the symmetrical appearance of his head, how perfect his smile looks on his pleasantly round face, I think we can all agree that Dick is the cutest of all the sidekicks.”
