clark tearing off bruce’s mask has absolutely nothing to do with ‘he’s forgotten his x-ray vision’ its about clark making bruce feel as vulnerable as possible. clark is physically stripping away the one thing that takes bruce from being just a normal guy into a symbol. he’s trying to make bruce feel as exposed and as uncomfortable as he possibly can. do you really think clark actually cares that much about who batman is at that point lmao
That doesn’t make it better. Superman as a bully who chains up normal humans and tries to make them feel vulnerable, exposed, and uncomfortable is not any version of Superman I want to watch.
It’s almost certainly Bruce’s nightmare and not any kind of reality so I wouldn’t say you don’t want to watch it when we have no context yet
