okay but seriously i cannot stress enough how damn good it felt to go to a superhero movie and actually have the movie acknowledge my prior knowledge as a fan and not waste time repeating origin stories that i’ve heard a million times?? we don’t get movies that do that very often??? people are so preoccupied with trying to tell THEIR VERSION of events and ADD SOMETHING TO THE MIX and it just gets so repetitive because no matter how much you change it it’s still going to be bruce wayne coming out of the theater with his parents and cutting into crime alley, it’s still going to be kal-el sent to earth to escape his planet’s death, it’s still going to be peter parker getting bit by a radioactive spider and later finding out his uncle ben has been shot. everyone knows how it began. we already have movies showing how it began. stop telling us how it began. tell us where it goes from there. tell us how it develops. tell us how it changes. tell us about something bigger than just one person’s origin. tell us about people from different origins overcoming their differences and working together. tell us about friendships forming. tell us about unity. tell us about goodness and humanity and common ground. tell us about hope.
tell us about the justice league.
tell us a story that will inspire us to do good.
