Vanessa Hudgens DC Comics superhero comedy gets series order

DC Comics is offiically launching a comedy series on NBC.

The network has given a series order to Powerless, which stars Vanessa Hudgens (Grease Live) as a “spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes.” (Think The Office meets Agents of SHIELD minus Marvel).

More details about the pilot storyline: “It’s when [Hudgens’ character] stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures (after an epic battle messes with her commute) that she accidentally becomes a cult ‘hero’ in her own right … even if it’s just to her group of lovably quirky co-workers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn’t always require superpowers.”

Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Christina Kirk are also in the cast, with Ben Queen as writer and executive producer.

sometimes i cant get over the fact that pre52 jason and tim were enemies, jason tried to kill tim, they dont trust each other and jason hates tims guts like calling him replacement, and then BOOM suddenly n52 came and they were like “my buddy,, my pal, my best friend, who i love and adore, my bro, my sun and stars, my fav family member” and every single one of their interaction was like it came right out of a fanfiction. which person in charge of the comics ships jaytim, thats the real question, who’s responsible for this

… And she is right. Harley might be Joker’s girlfriend, or created to be his girlfriend, but she is still a character of her own. With her own past, motives, friends… She is part of the suicide squad, Poison Ivy’s best friend, was part of the Gotham city sirens, was in alliance with Catwoman, Batman’s villain and so much more. Harley is not just Joker’s girlfriend for a very long time, she is Harley Quinn, a character who is in a relationship or was in a relationship with the Joker. But she can have storylines who aren’t connected to him. Literally a lot of the btas episodes and comics show it:
Gotham city sirens, Harley Quinn (2000), suicide squad, Gotham girls, Harley and Ivy, our world at war, convergence and many more.

Yes, somehow it always leads back to Joker, but they are two different characters who are involved with each other, each of them with his own story. Harley is not a doll who stands quietly next to him, and i feel like that what you are trying to say. she is complicated and deep and she can have so many storylines without him, surprise.
