I dont think anyone claimed Ezra Miller was going to be the “first ever”, everytime I saw a post that relates to the subject, most if not all specifically clarified that he’s going to be the first to lead a major-solo superhero film franchise. Which is a big deal in its own right since it hasnt happened up to this point. The above characters, as great as they were, are just supporting roles in ensemble films led by predominantly straight white men. (the Xmen films anyway.)
