idk man the thing that sucks about not being really pretty is that no matter what you tell yourself and what your friends might say, you sort of always know that you’re just not. and i’m not talking about being stubborn and fishing for compliments, it’s just knowing that you’re not conventionally attractive, that people on the street won’t double-take when you pass by them, that people won’t be flustered trying to talk to you. and i know looks aren’t everything but damn it sure feels like it when you aren’t absolutely gorgeous

Makes me wary about more Joker & Harley shippers.
Please do not ship them, it is very clearly an abusive relationship where Joker doesn’t really give a damn about Harley other than she’s a convenient and loyal henchman.
Their relationship is interesting to watch but it is canon that Harley eventually gets away from the Joker because even she knows it’s a toxic relationship.
Harley is the funny one, the stong one, once you take her away you realize how crazy and obsessive Joker is (about batman)
Harley is not the 1 girl who won his heart over, do your research, their relationship isn’t about love when it comes to the Joker.
new 52 is not Harley Quinn nor is it an accurate representation of her and Joker’s relationship, i think you need to do a little more research into this subject. It’s not a simple as ‘he abusers her’ or love/hate, love/love. They have a very complex relationship and Harley is in no way unhappy with it.
I don’t usually ever get into this kind of thing, but Suicide Squad will be presenting a new canon for their relationship so I think I’ve done my research.
It’s been confirmed by the director and writer David Ayer + other crew that
1. Joker does in fact love Harley and it drives him crazier coming to terms with the fact that he needs her
2. Costume designer Kate Hawley described Joker and Harley as equals and “You never feel Harley’s done under in a way” + “They’re like two alpha males. They go out and the games they play with their victims, it’s like cat and mouse.”
Some people will not want to accept that this version of their relationship shows them as equals and partners in crime (which is rather sad since it’s a huge step for these characters to be truly equals) but this is the new canon for Joker and Harley in the DCEU whether they like it or not.
my favorite thing about the extended cut was the conversation about how batman can’t be stopped with words, only with fists–but ultimately just one word stops him dead in his tracks
