All the MCU stans who keep reblogging mines’ and others’ posts regarding the importance of the diversity in the DCEU with comments such as “diversity does not matter” and “diversity doesn’t make it a good movie” are officially cancelled from commenting on the diversity in the upcoming Spidey:Homestuck movie.

POCs are not props for your ugly hatred against the DCEU. POCs are not relevant when it suits your anti agenda and sense of superiority in a universe y'all don’t even take part in. POCs aren’t not allowed to be recognized when it means you can use it to trash DC. You’re either supportive of the diversification or you’re not. And all y'all know y'all really ain’t supportive at all.

We must remember that the DCEU is a universe that’s already there… by that I mean that we’ve entered it and everything is already in motion, kinda like real life.  When you enter college, you meet new friends who’ve already grown enough to know what they want and you meet others who are now starting to discover who they really are.  You don’t know their whole story, you never will, and you don’t need to.  You’ll see them in action, you’ll see them develop more into what they want or what their situations mold them to be, you’ll be with a friend or multiple at a time, but you don’t need to know everything about them.  In Man of Steel, the viewer joins the DCEU with Superman, who is also just entering it.  In BvS and Suicide Squad, both Superman and the viewer realize that the world has been going/moving/turning long before they join, so characters are established, relationships are formed/destroyed/mended, yet the new additions don’t break the coherence of the world, rather elaborate on it by showing that there’s a much bigger picture but we can’t just see it, just like a freshman entering college.

Any critic panning the DCEU for not introducing characters beforehand, or for making “incoherent” stories that follow “too many characters” at once, clearly doesn’t know how this world works either.

Suicide Squad review drinking game!

naomialmaz

  • Take two shots before you read any reviews, you’ll need them to get through this.
  • Take one shot if the review starts off talking about BvS’s “failure”at the box office
  • Take an additional shot if the review mentions DC being “worried” over its cinematic movie universe
  • Take tiny sips if Marvel is mentioned at all; I’m not liable for any alcohol poisoning that may occur, so please drink with caution
  • Take two shots if Guardians of the Galaxy is mentioned
  • Take three shots if Deadpool is mentioned
  • Take a shot if the words “overcrowded”, “too dark”, “humorless”, or “edgy” make an appearance
  • Take a shot if the reviewer states that Ayer knows Batman better than Snyder does, despite Batman being in two different states of mind for each movie
  • Take an additional shot if the review says that this movie will (somehow) “save” the DC movie franchise
  • Take two shots if the reviewer brings up how any of the women are dressed and use their clothes to make any disparaging remarks on the characters; take another shot if this focuses on Harley
  • Take three shots if any variety of the phrase “trying to copy ___ in tone and humor” show up
  • Take a shot if the review says that the villains acted more like heroes than the actual heroes; take two more if the words “Justice Lords” somehow get worked into it
  • Take four shots if Leto’s Joker takes up most of the review despite not taking up most of the movie
  • Take five shots and close the tab if “Hot Topic” is found anywhere in the review
  • Take two shots and keep reading if “Hot Topic” is brought up but not as a jab at the movie or its marketing
  • Take two shots if the review ends by saying that Suicide Squad did what Batman v Superman couldn’t

Anonymous asked:

The director of suicide squad yelled 'fuck marvel' at the premiere and had to apologize on twitter. so tragic

marvel-feed answered:

He’s a dumbass. Now I’m glad I didn’t buy my tickets yet.

honestly? im tired

im tired of every new dc film being dragged by critics and mcu stans. im tired of those same people praising marvel for doing What DC Did But Worse™ (im looking at you civil war). im tired of dc fans being criticised and insulted for liking different things to other people even though cinema is a fundamentally subjective medium. im tired of people bending over backwards to find (exaggerated or outright false) reasons why dc actors are Irredeemably Problematic Monsters™ while marvel actors who do the same or worse are Infallible Cinnamon Rolls™ (im looking at you sebastian stan). im tired of marvel being praised for representation even though they suck at it but when dc movies have actual representation its ignored or even criticised. im tired of people acting like the mcu is the One True Way™ to make superhero movies. im tired of people saying the dceu is ‘rushed’ and asking where batman and wonder womans and everyone elses solo movies were before bvs and justice league were/will be released (well where were black widow and hawkeyes solos before avengers assemble?). im tired of the way dc and dc fans are treated.

but you know what im not tired of? im not tired of dc. im not tired of being a dc fan. so fuck yall and your negativity, ill be in the cinema on friday supporting dc and telling them to keep doing what theyre doing.
